Hengdian World Studios locates in China and features a 1:1 scale reproduction of the Forbidden City. It's the biggest film and television based in Asia which is claimed as "Chinese Hollywood".

The Chinese film industry is booming. In 2014, this small town attracted up to thirteen million tourists, more than 150 teleplay groups; about 300,000 figurants work for the film and television shooting; 15 entertainment companies are to be listed. At least 42,000 movies and television plays have been produced here, which takes up one-quarter of the output of China.

Thousands of young dreamers pursue here. Most of them are from rural families with modest means and low education backgrounds but have to struggle in society although they're still minors. Their income is less than 10 dollars per day. In spite of the cruel survival environment and the narrow development space, what rose before them is the great prospect of gaining fame and fortune, but only desires, anxieties, and confusions can be seen on those young faces.

It's a story about how downtrodden young people from the rural areas work entry-level jobs in China’s booming film industry as a way to barely make ends meet and a photographic record of a place under the "jungle law'.
